Pretty sure I jumped and squealed with happiness when these two asked me to document their wedding.
I knew that Gabriel and Jocelyn would create loads of spunk, tenderness, and uniqueness to their wedding.
They definitely delivered. And I definitely cried more than once.
The history of their friendship and the level of their commitment to each other is undeniable.
Documenting Gabe's protective, joyful heart and Jocelyn's admiring and soft eyes made my job easy and also quite tear-filled.
My heart was a puddle.
Their big day took place on September 6th, 2022, at the Pinecrest venue near Palmer Lake, Colorado.
Everything went so smoothly and beautifully.
Also. I 10/10 recommend this venue!
Truly some of the sweetest, most laid-back people to work with and it's GORGEOUS.
The morning of preparation was full of good friends, food, and beautiful decorations.
A bear cub even ran past the bridal suite, adding to the magical feel of this woodland styled venue.
Before the ceremony I captured each of their individual portraits and then they took time to pray together.
During their payer time, I snapped a few quick moments and then backed away, allowing them more time and space.
Pretty sure this was the beginning of me choking back tears.
Their ceremony was sweet, simple, and profound.
I've got all kinds of sweet moments in my editing queue that I have yet to share <3
Although, I couldn't help but edit of few of the bridal party early. How epic are they?!
My biggest take aways from the reception:
The couples there are in love. You can't make up the kind of love I was capturing with my lens. Couple after couple danced, giggled, kissed, and whispered around and around on the dance floor. That was the second time I got misty.
And last but not least, the father-daughter dance: when daddies and daughters flooded the dance floor.
There is one in particular that had my waterworks going. Just saying. View at your own risk. You'll probably choke up too.
During the reception I was able to snag a few extra portraits of some of the families, couples, and even got a photo with my youngest little one.
It was a lot of fun getting to not only document and celebrate the couple, but also all of their friends and family and grab portraits of them to create their own little galleries.
Mr + Mrs Gilliland, you guys melted all of our hearts and inspired us to love and live fully.
Thank you for asking me to be there with my lens as well as my family.
You guys are well loved and so extremely treasured by everyone around you.
Keep being so beautifully unique and deep-hearted.
Okay....just a few more and then I'll be done...
